Arduino IDEでスケッチをアップロードするときUSBケーブルを抜き差ししなくてもよいのでとても便利です。アップロードが終了したらスケッチが実行されます。

Works fine for programming ESP-01S modules.Plug the ESP-01S into the usb module then hold the button in as you plug it into the USB port. Let go of the button and your ESP-01S module is ready to be squirted full of programming goodnesses.Certainly beats fiddling around soldering a button on to the bottom of the 'lesser' usb adapters so they can be used for programming and not just for power/serial comms.

ESP-01を小型化に使えないか検討していたのですが、書き込み装置の例をググってみても全くうまく行かず諦めていました。諦めていたのですがそんなに高価ではない書き込み装置を見つけ購入しました。一発で動作し最初のLチカができました。長かったです。ESP-01は技適がないようなので実験で終わりですがこれでスッキリしました。

You'll see other USB to SERIAL boards being used on youtube etc - but they usually have a couple of bits of wire soldered onto them to make a 'switch'. This board actually has a button to restart the board built into it..... which is why I bought them.ADDITIONALLY - if you are playing with the I/O on the board (and why else would you own them?) there is a copy of the connector that the ESP plugs into, so that you can measure what's happening on the actual pins, or connect leds etc to display the status. I made a 3 wire rig of 2 leds - positives go to GPIO 0 and GPIO 2 and the negatives go to a 220ohm resistor then the GND. It shows me the status of the I/O pins while I'm tinkering with the SW...... so handy.Hopefully helpful Note on USB drivers. If you are starting to play with ESP boards there are 2 different communication chips they use, Windows doesn't have suitable drivers for both by default if you have some that aren't being recognised go and google 'CP210x driver ESP'
