Where to begin? I suppose by saying that this Ezcoo KVM switcher is definitely the best one that I have ever used and I cant really see how anything else can be much better for most home and office uses.My use has may be a bit different than what may be typical for this switcher, which I will explain shortly. However, as far as typical use is concerned, for computers, this switcher is simply awesome. While it will facilitate 4 computers to be connected, I have only used it with two computers, a MacBook and a Mac mini. I have a 32" 4K/60 monitor attached and also an Atomos Ninja HDMI recorder.The switching is perfect between my computers and fast. With the extra USB3 port it's also super convenient to be able to share and switch something like a USB flash drive or USB SSD. You are limited to 5Gb/s but this is fine for flash drives and a lot of USB SSDs. I have a few different devices with various small USB-A to USB-C convertors, so these are super easy to connect to any USB-A or USB-C port. Plus the wireless dongle for my keyboard and mouse connects to one of the USB ports for sharing the keyboard and mouse between the computers.It's also worth noting that the HDMI facilities on this switched are essentially a 4x2 HDMI matrix. Again, this is super convenient.Now the other use that I have is to connect two game consoles to the switcher, a PS5 and an Xbox Series X. This basically means that I use the switcher as a splitter for my consoles. This means that I can play on my main 32" monitor and record on the Atomos Ninja that I have attached, which is a HDMI recorder. You could also have a video capture card connected to one of the HDMI outputs and use that to feed a signal into a computer for recording with something like OBS.Now as far as HDMI latency is concerned, there will be some there but I cant say that I have noticed it. When I'm gaming I'm playing fast paced FPS games, where HDMI latency is something that you would feel in the gameplay. I can't really feel any difference between playing through the switcher or connected direct to my monitor with the consoles. The switcher's HDMI is only HDMI 2, however, my monitor is only 60Hz so this not an issue for me as I only game in 60FPS at 4K anyway.Now you may think that this all looks like a mess of spaghetti and is an eyesore, however, it isn't and for a couple reasons. The first reason is because my previous setup consisted of a KVM for my computers and a separate splitter setup for my consoles. Now everything is consolidated into one switcher/splitter system.The second reason is because of the remote control that connects to the main switcher via a USB-C cable. This allows me to keep the main switcher behind my table and only have the wired remote on my table. This means that the mess of cables is out of view. Plus, I my laptop runs in clamshell mode and is on a set of daws under my table and my consoles are in a small vented cabinet next to the table. So aside from a small desktop computer and the remote, everything else is pretty much well hidden and everything looks really neat. If the switcher did not have the remote, then yes, it would be a bit of a mess of cables on the table but the remote helps to hide all that and shouldn't be underrated as to its importance and value to the main switcher. You can of course do some switching direct on the switcher but the remote really does help to complete this setup, as far as I'm concerned.While I don't have any need for the audio functions on the switcher, there is a 3.5mm headphone output and also a Toslink/SPDIF optical output.Lastly. The build quality of the main switcher unit is really nice. It's has an alloy case and the sockets all feel quite strong without too much wobble. The remote is plastic but this is perfectly fine.Bottom line. This switcher is extremely reasonably priced. However, for someone who has a use like mine, I would almost say that this switcher is cheap. No matter how you look at it, this switcher is great value for money and very well specified.

Im Lieferumfang ist alles wie in der Produktbeschreibung angegeben.Der KVM Switch ist aus Metall, das Steuerpult aus Plastik. Die Verarbeitung ist gut, alles wirkt robust und sauber.Aus der Produktbeschreibung geht der wahre Zweck dieses Sets leider nicht deutlich hervor, denn für die Erweiterung von 4 PCs auf jeweils 2 Bildschirme ist dieser KVM Switch nicht gedacht. Er kann 4 PCs mit entweder jeweils einen Bildschirm bestücken oder mit jeweils einem Bildschirm und einen Zweiten, der das Bild vom Ersten Spiegelt. D.h. wenn zwei Bildschirme angeschlossen sind, zeigt ein Bildschirm das Bild von einem PC an und der Andere das Bild von einem anderen PC oder beide Bildschirme zeigen denselben Inhalt von einem PC an. Das macht er aber sehr gut und vollkommen störungsfrei.Es ist also kein klassischer KVM-Switch, der PCs um mehrere Bildschirme erweitern kann. Er kann nur einen Bildschirm pro PC verbinden und dazu noch auf Wunsch das Bild des einen Bildschirms parallel auf den anderen Bildschirm ausgeben. Aber er kann nicht zwei Bildschirme pro PC verbinden. Der eingebaute EDID-Emulator sorgt dafür, dass beim Umschalten der Bildschirm nicht immer wieder neu vom PC erkannt werden muss, sodass das Umschalten recht schnell geht.Gleichzeitig werden beim Umschalten des Bildschirms auch die angeschlossenen USB-Geräte umgeschaltet. Hier wird aber nichts emuliert, der PC muss die angeschlossenen Geräte bei jedem Umschalten neu erkennen. Daher dauert das Umschalten bei den USB Geräten etwas länger und zB. Maus und Tastatur sind immer etwas später am PC verfügbar als der Bildschirm.FazitDieses KVM Switch bedient eine Nischenfunktion und das macht er sehr gut. Außerdem ist er sehr solide. Daher ist er auch für den Professionellen Einsatzgeeignet. In seiner Funktion (Stichwort: Matrix) ist er nahezu einzigartig im amazon Angebot und somit alternativlos. Die aktuell rund 160€ sind daher, wenn genau diese Funktionalität gefordert ist, gut angelegt.

This item has a particular use case, and for those who need it it works very well. it si not a regular switch in that if as a hoe user you have multiple monitors, it is also becasue you generallly have multiple video outputs from your machine SO a regularl 4x2 switch will allow 4 devices to output to BOTH monitors wiht independent displays.Thisis intened to have bankls of machines that can each independantly display to one of two monitors and then be able to switch configurations, but wiht each machine havine ONE video output.For soemone who runs mulit[ple physical servers in a 'homelab' type situation this is a superb bit of kit giving you easy access to the console of mulitple diffrent machines at a time if for some reson you cant remote in.Another use case where this has been beneficial is having it run two projectors at a garden party. from a phone and a tablet with no laptops or pcs required.The output displays are crisp with no signal instabiltiy detected. and the control unit is very easy and intuitive to use making the switching of inputs to ooutputs very easy. the control unit is not necessary as it can also be handled by thebuttons on teh top oof th emain unit itself.Another gret feature of this is the display showing exacly what is being output to where, makes it esy to keep track ina complex setup.
