HDMI To CSI Adapter for Raspberry Pi is an HDMI to CSI camera port adapter designed for the Raspberry Pi 4/3 with up to 1080p@30fps support from HDMI input and is backwards compatible. It allows you to use any camera with an HDMI output, such as Canon, Nikon or GoPro action cameras, as a standard Raspberry Pi CSI camera, even you can record the screen which is output from another Raspberry Pi HDMI port. Raspberry Pi Computer Module 4 can use HDMI to CSI-2 Module on PiKVM OS.
NOTE: This product has provided all hardware accessories. The software can currently be used directly on Raspberry Pi 4B, 3B+/3B/Zero series and other devices. However, software support for Raspberry Pi 5 software is currently not available.

Wollte so ein Board für ein Pi schon länger mal ausprobieren da ich gern draußen Stream und dafür meistens mein Smartphone nutze. Jedoch ist es nicht so leicht ein Smartphone auf der Schulter zu packen als eine Kamera.Daher wollte ich ein Pi nutzen der sich dann um das Encoden kümmert, und enttäuscht wurde ich keineswegs. HDMI Kameras werden problemlos erkannt und man kann sie mit passender Software verwenden. Audio klappt auch, jedoch bei mir etwas hakelig. Ob das am Adapter liegt kann ich aber so leider nicht sagen oder feststellen da einige auch das gleiche Tonproblem haben.Für die Unterschiedlichen Modelle von Pis gibt es im Lieferumfang unterschiedliche Ribbon Kabel. Für jedes Modell etwas passendes dabei.

¿Quieres controlar a distancia un servidor u ordenador con tu Raspberry Pi? ¿Quieres tener un monitor remoto para una cámara con salida HDMI? ¿O incluso usar tu raspi como capturadora para juegos básica? Esto te puede ayudar. Vamos a ello.-- ¿QUÉ ES ESTO? --Pues es una placa de interfaz para casi cualquier modelo de Raspberry que permite convertir una señal HDMI hasta 1080p30 y enviarla a la entrada CSI-2. A partir de aquí tu creatividad -y habilidad técnica- es el límite.-- PRESENTACIÓN --La placa viene en una caja básica que no es para tirar cohetes, pero dentro de una bolsa antiestática reutilizable -bien-, y con dos cables-cinta en cada tamaño: el normal de RPi y el pequeño para las Zero. Está muy bien que vengan de repuesto porque estos cables tienden a dañarse si se manejan mal e incluir uno extra es un gran detalle. Bien por GeekPi.Ah, y viene un manual que está en inglés, pero si estás viendo esto, seguramente estás acostumbrado a manejarte en este idioma porque es casi imprescindible para trastear con Raspberry.-- ¿CÓMO SE USA? --Depende de para qué lo quieras, pero en mi caso quería montar un KVP-sobre-IP con PiKVM y fue prácticamente enchufar y listo siguiendo las instrucciones de la web e instalando la imagen correspondiente.Si quieres hacer algo más específico puedes recurrir al pequeño manual incluído para habilitar la tarjeta en tu distro.-- VEREDICTO --Una placa adaptadora HDMI a CSI-2 para tus raspberry pi que te permitirá capturar lo que le pongas por HDMI, fabricada en calidades altas y con ribbons extra por si acaso.El precio es competitivo incluso frente webs chinas, pero con la garantía del servicio de Amazon, que es un plus. Recomendadísima.

The HDMI to CSI-2 adapter board is an interesting add-on for the older Raspberry Pi models. The adapter works very well with my Raspberry Pi 4, allowing me to connect HDMI devices with ease. The installation is easy and the provided instructions are well writen and easy to understand. The 1080p@30fps support is good enough for simple tasks - it deliver crisp and vibrant visuals that can be used for recording gaming sessions, streaming or DIY projects. The performance is very good and there is no lag or dropped frames while recording. The build quality of the adapter is solid and the compact design makes it easy to integrate into any setup without taking up too much space. I still have to test it with the Raspberry Pi 5, so I don't know if it works with it. The board comes well packaged for transport in a small sturdy carton box. Nice versatile product!

Entgegen der Angaben funktioniert das Board - wie auch schon in vielen anderen Rezensionen geschrieben - NICHT mit dem Raspberry Pi Zero 2. Nach dem Verbinden des Flexkabels bootet der Zero 2 nicht mehr. Daher zurück und eine Alternative ordern.

Il modulo funziona perfettamente ed è molto ben fatto, ma la cosa più importante è che si trova una discreta documentazione e diverso materiale utile online.La scheda è di qualità: connettori robusti, dimensioni precise e saldature dei componenti molto pulite. Da apprezzare la presenza del doppio connettore CSI, in versione normale e piccola per il Pi Zero. Ovviamente sono inclusi anche i cavi flat, quattro in totale, due per il connettore piccolo e due per il più grande.Nella confezione c’è un piccolo libretto di istruzioni, scritto in modo abbastanza chiaro, in cui sono presenti un minimo di informazioni utili per iniziare ad usare il modulo. È riportato il link ad una pagina con una documentazione leggermente più dettagliata. In ogni caso, cercando online si trova molto.Sono riuscito ad utilizzarlo senza alcun problema e sono rimasto soddisfatto anche dalla qualità dell’immagine prodotta. È comodo perché permette, tra le altre cose, di collegare una telecamera con uscita hdmi direttamente al raspberry sulla porta CSI (solitamente dedicata alla Pi camera). Ovviamente le applicazioni sono molte, ad esempio può essere utile in sistemi KVM o anche per creare delle piccole schede di acquisizione video da un’uscita hdmi.Sicuramente è un modulo molto versatile e, anche se ha un costo non trascurabile, trovo che sia ben fatto e funzionale, sicuramente merita di essere preso in considerazione.

I tried to use the small cable in the kit with the pi zero 2w and the supply is shortened. Maybe the are supplying the wrong cable (it is mirrored). If I use the pi3 cable then the board work good as expected.

Ce convertisseur HDMI -> CSI pour Raspberry Pi est de bonne qualité de fabrication et il est fourni avec les 2 types de nappes utilisées (15 pin de la plupart des Pi classiques et 22 pin de la Pi Zero, CM4 et nouvelle Pi 5).Le module n'utilise que 2 lignes car avant le CM4 / Pi 5 les autres Pi n'en avaient que 2 (4 maintenant) ce qui limite surtout à 1080p en 30Hz.L'idée par contre de ce convertisseur c'est qu'à travers son port CSI la Pi reçoit le flux vidéo brut et non une version compressée et de qualité réduite.C'est un peu plus compliqué à utiliser qu'un adaptateur HDMI -> USB mais si la qualité / latence (d'un flux qui n'est pas protégé par du HDCP) est importante pour vous cela peut être la solution adaptée.

Ich durfte diesen HDMI to CSI-2 Adapter von Waveshare testen.Genutzt wurde der Adapter mit einem Raspberry Pi 3B.Bei mir traten bei der Nutzung keine Probleme auf.Jedoch muss man sich im klaren sein, dass dieses Spielzeug nicht unbedingt für Anfänger im Bereich Mikrocontroller und Mini Computer ist.Ich selbst bin im Besitz von Mini Computer mehrerer Marken. Darunter Raspberry Pi, Orange Pi, Radxa und Asus Tinker Board.Bei Mikrocontrollern fange ich schon gar nicht erst an.Genutzt wurde der Adapter um ein Videosignal eines Industrie PC's abzugreifen und über den Raspberry Pi weiter zu leiten. Mir war es hierbei wichtig, dass nicht auf den Industrie PC selbst zugegriffen werden konnte.Als günstige Alternative zu einer Capture Card, ist dieser Adapter wirklich praktisch. Es darf jedoch auch nicht mit der gleichen Leistung gerechnet werden.Einzig den Preis von rund 30 Euro empfinde ich als etwas hoch. Bei Problemen mit der Software steht man ziemlich alleine da. Hier habe ich chinesische Unternehmen gesehen, die wesentlich besser sind.ZB Orange Pi, welche ein rund 300 seitiges Dokument zu ihren Mini Computern haben und auch Kontaktdaten hinterlegen, sollte man in ein Problem laufen, dass man nicht mehr selbst lösen kann.Deshalb hier auch nur 4 Sterne = gut. 5 Sterne würden bei einem besseren Support drin liegen.
