Linguistics are where it's at if you want to wow friends and strangers at gatherings. This is a great book that is fun and flirty with a lot of great nuggets of information in it. I enjoy Amanda's writing style as well.

I love this book: how it delves into the origins and corruption of language. It is easy to read and offers insight into the importance and power of language. It follows on from Nor Hall's The Moon and the Virgin.
